We’re changing how we deliver health care services to better meet the needs of the people and communities we serve.
Our Primary and Community Care Strategy, unveiled in early 2018, is our plan for the future. The strategy is a blueprint for improving health care services across the Southern district over the next decade and beyond – making best use of resources, providing care closer to people’s homes, promoting more equal access to services for better health outcomes.
Improving health care services also means improving where and how services are provided and in some cases, by whom. Our strategy introduces new concepts in health care delivery, which will complement and support the New Dunedin Hospital
