Early Childhood Education Services
Public Health South provides health and safety assessments and health promotion advice to the Early Childhood Sector.
We are contracted by the Ministry of Health to undertake health and safety assessments as a requirement for a centre to operate in accordance with Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008.
Our staff assess:
- Food safety
- Sanitary facilities
- General safety and hygiene
- Sleeping facilities
- Infection control
- Health and hygiene policies and procedures
- Immunisation records
We provide support to early childhood education services through resources with advice on:
- health and safety issues
- managing disease outbreaks
- health education resources
- hygiene & cleaning resources
