Good food & active living

Through nutrition and physical activity, health promotion and advocacy in the Southern Region we aim to:

  • Improve the health and wellbeing of Southern residents.
  • Reduce the rates of obesity and related diseases e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer

  • Promoting, protecting and supporting breastfeeding

Some examples of our work include:

  • Local coordination of National Campaigns e.g. Just Cook
  • Coordination of local breastfeeding, and nutrition and physical activity networks
  • Coordination of the Southern Pepi-Pod Programme
