The Hepatitis Foundation of New Zealand

On this page

The Hepatitis Foundation of New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free support for people living with chronic hepatitis B. It is funded by the Ministry of Health.

We also work to raise awareness of hepatitis.

Everyone enrolled in our long-term monitoring programme receives regular education, resources, support and referral to secondary care if required. Our hepatitis community nurses work with patients in their homes and offer education and fibroscan (liver ultrasound) clinics in community settings, in partnership with GPs and other health providers.

The Hepatitis Foundation was established 30 years ago. More than 25,000 New Zealanders with chronic hepatitis B are enrolled in our free programme.
