    Our mission is that every person in New Zealand affected by, or at risk of diabetes has access to the information and support needed to manage their health and well-being.

    Diabetes New Zealand Otago Branch aim to raise awareness of all types of diabetes supporting wellness/hauora for all.

    We offer a Wellness Clinic, a Podiatry Clinic and a range of programmes covering awareness, prevention, early detection, education, support and advocacy.

    Diabetes Otago hold a podiatry clinic.  This is an affordable low cost service provided for people with diabetes and non-diabetics.

    Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling Diabetes Otago on 03 474 0240 or email noeline@diabetes.org.nz 

    Diabetes Otago also run a free Wellness clinic attended by a long term conditions nurse from Wellsouth who is available for half hour appointments.  During these times people can get their blood pressure checked, have their blood glucose tested and also discuss any concerns they may have with their diabetes or general wellbeing.

    Youth Camp

    Diabetes Otago hold two camps a year for Type 1 children and young adults.

    The summer camp is held in January over four days for children aged between 8-12 years.

    The winter ski/snowboarding camp is held in September over four days for young adults aged between 13-18 years.
