DEBRA New Zealand

On this page

DEBRA New Zealand is a registered charity for the support of people with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).  EB is a rare genetic skin disorder characterised by fragile blistering skin.

DEBRA New Zealand and their 4 part time EB Nurse Specialists provide support, information and guidance to those living with EB and their families.  The EB Nurse Specialists assist local clinicians and District Health Boards who may not be familiar with the latest best practice in EB management. Based in Auckland, Taupo, Wellington and Christchurch, the EB Nurse Specialists are available to visit and advise on EB care anywhere in New Zealand.  This is especially valuable when a baby is born with apparent skin damage or blisters.

The EB Nurse Specialists are in contact with expert EB nurses and clinicians around the world to ensure they have access to the best information and advice.
