    CAB provides free, confidential, independent information and advice to anyone in the community about anything. There are no criteria to meet to use the CAB service – they will help and advise anyone.
    They help people to;
    • understand their rights and obligations under the law
    • have the confidence and support they need to take action or the next step to resolve their issues
    • access the services they need

    CAB are contactable face to face by phone or via email

    They have three language support services available;
    Face to face interpreters who can be booked to be at CAB with you. An on-demand phone interpreter service.
    CAB interviewers around the motu who can offer the CAB service in other languages.

    Immigration

    CAB holds hard copies of immigration booklets and pamphlets and can help anyone fill in immigration forms (or online applications).
    CAB can advise on current immigration legislation.

    Advice and help with - Dissolution of marriage, resolving parenting disputes, relationship property, custody

    Services and community groups in your area

    CAB has a Community directory of approximately 500 local organisations, social services, clubs, hobby groups, and sports clubs in the wider Dunedin area.
    Also 35,000 nationwide community directory listings.

    Former Refugees

    CAB is a service for anyone about anything so this includes former refugees and all migrants

    Interpreter service

    CAB has three language support options;
    A free face-to-face interpreter can be booked to be here with clients at CAB - through Te Whatu Ora Southern
    Access to an on-demand phone interpreter service - np need for a booking
    CAB volunteers around the country can offer clients the CAB service in your language (call to see who is available on any given day).
