Three further cases of measles in Queenstown

Southern DHB/Public Health South has been notified that a further three Queenstown residents have been confirmed as having measles. 

Locations where these cases were known to be infectious with measles include the ski fields and multiple locations in Wakatipu/Queenstown area between 28th August and 7th September 2019.

Additionally, one case flew from Tauranga to Auckland on NZ8134, and Auckland to Queenstown on NZ635 on 30 August 2019.

Public Health South are conducting contact investigation and recommending vaccination to anyone who may have been exposed and is not fully protected.
