Getting the help you need

Ka kimihia te āwhina

Find out about how the health system works, services you need, and preparing for an appointment or visit.

Our Emergency Departments are open 24/7, 365 days a year and we do not turn anyone away who is seeking medical help. Our sickest patients are seen first.

Be prepared for when you go travelling by checking in with your GP and collect repeat prescriptions.

For self-care at home, visit your local pharmacy for any over the counter medications that you might need.

In an emergency, call 111.
