Making a donation

Many health care organisations accept donations to support patient care and comfort in the Southern region.

These include  St John , rural hospitals and the many non-profit community organisations that support the well-being of our people.

In addition, donations can be made to:

Healthcare Otago Charitable Trust

Healthcare Otago Charitable Trust supports health and research in the Otago area. These include health research, improving the welfare of patients, education related to health and disability services, and supporting health-related community organisations. Over the years many generous donors have made gifts and bequests, and the Trust has distributed over $13 million to benefit communities across Otago.

Lakes District Hospital Foundation

The Lakes District Hospital Foundation's aim is to ensure that our hospital serves the needs of our growing population and our tourism industry. We want it to be a place that is welcoming for people and their families in times of need and where people have access to efficient and effective diagnostic and health services.

Donating to Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Southern

Donations to Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Southern are gratefully appreciated to help the hospital and health care system go beyond business as usual and enhance patient comfort.

Your donations have contributed to items such iPads for patients to use whilst in hospital, or televisions for the family rooms in the wards. They have enabled us to improve furniture in waiting areas or provide essentials to those patients arriving by helicopter or ambulance who don’t have any basic items like toiletries.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss opportunities for making a donation and contributing to an area in need.
