Te Puna Wai Ora – Southern Critical Care
This content brought to you by:
While work progresses on constructing Dunedin’s new hospital, we’re in the midst of creating a new bespoke critical care facility to make sure our work environment and our standard of care can’t be beaten.
With 22 beds and a combined ICU and HDU, patients will be able to move through levels of care in one facility. As well as providing long-term life support services, our team also delivers the Aeromedical Retrieval Service, a tertiary referral service for healthcare providers throughout New Zealand’s south.
We’re a general ICU/HDU, so you’ll work with a variety of patients of all ages, from paediatric to geriatric.
You’ll primarily be responsible for the care of one patient at a time, including their assessment, care and treatment.
You’ll be able to build an in-depth knowledge of their care, and a great relationship with them and their family.
You’ll get plenty of professional development opportunities from our collaboration with the medical team, as well as our relationship with Otago University’s medical school. Come explore opportunities now!
