    Health services

    We work alongside whānau and the wider community to ensure health and social services are accessible and tailored to meet the needs of whānau so that good health and wellbeing is achieved.

    We work using a holistic hauora approach and embrace the four cornerstones of health:

    • te taha tinana (physical wellbeing)
    • te taha wairua (spiritual wellbeing)
    • te taha hinengaro (mental wellbeing)
    • te taha whānau (family wellbeing)

    Mauri Ora / Whānau Ora Service

    Healthy Lifestyle, Sexual Health, Diabetes, Asthma, Heart Health, Wähine and Täne Health, Child Health, Oral Health and others.


    • Support when visiting your Doctor/Nurse.
    • Advocacy and support for whānau.
    • Follow up on healthcare.
    • Linkages with Social, Education, Justice and other agencies.
    • Transport support where possible.
    • Assistance with referrals to other services.
    • Information and resources for whānau.
    • Community development projects.
    • Facilitation of wānanga in health and wellbeing, with Rārangä, kāpahaka, wāiata, tāiaha, rōngoa, mirimiri.

    Injury, illness or disability

    We have disability aid and podiatry visiting services.

    Mother and child / Māmā and pēpi

    We hold a Mama and Pepi support group every Thursday that includes activities such as:

    • Infant first aid
    • Rongoa for pepi
    • Pepi massage
    • Sewing
    • Health and nutrition
    • Car seat checks
    • Immunisation support
