    Staff

Our highly skilled Practice Plus Clinicians are spread across the motu starting from Northland, spreading all the way down to Christchurch. The team is made up of General Practitioners, Urgent Care Specialists, and Nurse Practitioners.
    Adult and Child Medical Care

The Practice Plus Clinician who sees you has gone through extensive medical training to equip her or him to help children and adults of all ages with a range of physical and emotional difficulties. A Practice Plus Clinician can privately and securely help treat most medical needs, sicknesses or injuries. From a common cold, contraceptive options, migraines and more, Practice Plus can provide treatment and prescriptions direct to your pharmacy along with health counselling and off-work certificates, as well as many more conditions.

    International Visitors

For visitors to New Zealand, who are not enrolled at a practice, Practice Plus can provide medical support. Our Clinicians can provide a prescription or refer to a specialist if appropriate.

    Prescriptions

If you need a prescription, your Practice Plus Clinician will securely send your prescription directly to your selected pharmacy electronically, through the NZ ePrescription Service. There may be some circumstances when we are unable to provide a prescription for a medication in a virtual appointment due to New Zealand law and regulations.

    Lab Tests

Practice Plus Clinicians can refer you on for lab tests if they think appropriate and will provide you with the results. For complex health issues that are ongoing, your Practice Plus Clinician may connect you back with your enrolled Clinician.

    Minor Accident Care

Practice Plus Clinicians can deal with most minor accident care. If they are not able to deal with an injury, or if the injury needs an in-person visit, for continuity of care and safety, they will refer on to the appropriate service. ACC forms can be completed for ACC related injuries.

    Radiology

Practice Plus can send you for X-Rays and Scans and follow up with your results. Your Practice Plus Clinician may connect you back with your enrolled Clinician for further treatment or investigation if required.

    Referrals

If our Practice Plus Clinician feels your condition requires a referral to specialist care, then referring you to public and private specialists is an option.
