On this page

Our Mission is to eliminate the stigma around perinatal mental health in Aotearoa New Zealand by championing awareness and facilitating best practice in perinatal mental health and wellbeing to ensure all families have equitable access to appropriate information and support.  This is done through workshops and training for healthcare providers.

    Programme

    Professional Development, Seminars and Information

PADA seminars provide professional development for those supporting families affected by mental illness related to pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. When participants leave each seminar, they will better understand how these topics impact families and have strengthened their knowledge and skills to help improve perinatal outcomes.

Additional useful information regarding Perinatal Conditions, Research and Screening Tools can be found on the PADA website.

    Information and Support

The PADA website provides useful information for families about pregnancy, perinatal conditions and support services for new and expecting mothers and their family/whanau. We can also provide phone assistance to point you in the right direction to a support service near you.

    Community Events

PADA supports a variety of events in the community aimed at eliminating the stigma around perinatal mental health in New Zealand. These events range from High Tea to Fathers Programmes.
