National Foundation for Deaf & Hard of Hearing

On this page

Formed in 1978, the National Foundation for Deaf & Hard of Hearing is a coalition of ten professional and community groups who are passionate about improving the health, welfare and education of all New Zealanders with hearing loss, to ensure their advancement and independence in society.

The Foundation promotes the interests of over 880,000 deaf and hard of hearing New Zealanders.

We focus on breaking down barriers for people with hearing loss and promoting the appreciation of good sound. And we encourage all New Zealanders to protect and preserve their hearing.
