Disabilities Resource Centre Southland

    Our service aims to provide an accurate information service to people with disabilities, their families, caregivers and the community. We also sell and hire adaptive equipment and daily living aids. The Centre is an assessment agency for the Total Mobility/Ridewise taxi scheme which enables people to obtain discounted taxi travel.

    Advocacy
    After an operation, accident or illness it can be hard to locate the people, organisations and products that can help you. Contact DRC Southland and we'll help you find everything you need including advocacy.
    Disability support services
    DRC Southland has a range of Disability Equipment available at our Centre. We can also order in products to suit your needs. From larger items, such as wheelchairs, walkers, shower stools and bath boards, which are available to hire or buy at very competitive rates, to a vast range of smaller products which can be of valuable assistance in day-to-day living.
    Transport
    The Centre is an assessment agency for the Total Mobility taxi scheme which enables people to obtain discounted taxi travel.

    Charges

    Information and research services are free. Hire and buy prices on equipment vary and are offered at the best possible price for customers.
