COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

COVID-19 vaccinations are available to everyone aged 5 years and over in the Southern District.

How to get your vaccination

  • Check when your last dose was by visiting www.mycovidrecord.nz
     
  • You can book your vaccine appointment online via BookMyVaccine or by calling 0800 28 29 26 (8am to 8pm, 7 days).
     
  • If you have had COVID-19, wait 3 months after recovery before having a COVID-19 vaccine.
     
  • Unable to access a COVID-19 vaccine clinic? If you or someone you know with a disability, mental illness diagnosis, or health condition that makes it hard to get to a clinic, please fill out this form or call 03 476 9977 and we'll be in touch to work through a solution. This includes 5 to 11-year-old vaccinations.

Dunedin

  • Dunedin Immunisation Centre - Te Puna Āraimate ki Ōtepoti, corner of Hanover and Cumberland Streets (the old VTNZ building), Dunedin
    Monday to Friday 9.30am - 5pm. The Immunisation Centre will be closed for lunch between 1.00pm and 1.45pm daily.
    - 12+ years old – bookings or walk-ins
    - 5-11 years old – bookings or walk-ins
    - Flu; measles, mumps and rubella (MMR); and tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough (Boostrix) vaccinations also available free to those eligible.
     
  • Larsons Pharmacy, 216 Main South Road, Green Island, Dunedin
    Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 12 noon and 1.30pm - 5pm

Invercargill

  • Waikiwi Pharmacy, 280 North Road, Waikiwi, Invercargill
    Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm, Saturdays, 9.30 - 12 noon
    - 12+ years old – bookings and walk-ins
    - NB. Walk-ins are accepted depending on vaccine availability, therefore walk-ins may not be possible later on in the day. If you would like a vaccine to be held, you are welcome to ring on the day, to confirm that you will be coming - phone (03) 215 7422.

The COVID-19 vaccine can been given at the same time or close to other vaccinations, including MMR (measles, mumps, rubella vaccine), influenza (flu), human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV, Gardasil 9), whooping cough and tetanus (Tdap, Boostrix) and meningococcal vaccines.
